Need to get in a holiday mood for the Christmas Holidays? This is your open invitation to A CHRISTMAS GOSPEL CHOIR FEST, that will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Williams Institutional C.M.E. Church, located at 2225 Adam C. Powell Blvd., bet. 131st & 132nd Sts. in Harlem, NY.
This exciting concert will begin at 5 p.m., and performing choirs will be: The Late Show's Gospel Choir, of CBS TV's "LATE SHOW," The Anointed Praise Choir of the Bronx, Rev. Tyrone Richardson & The National Action Network's Change Choir, and NAN's Youth Choir.
Special guest choir will be The Timothy Wright Memorial Choir, that was founded the late Rev. Timothy Wright, known to many as "The Godfather of Gospel Music." Rev. Wright died last year from injuries he suffered from the fatal car crash that killed in his wife, Betty, and grandson, Daniel, in July '08, but his choir is continuing his rich musical legacy by taking his volume of great gospel songs all over the world. However, this concert will mark the first time that the Timothy Wright Memorial Choir will be performing in Harlem since his untimely demise, and they will sing some of his biggest hits such as "Who's On The Lord's Side," "For The Rest Of My Life," You Must Come In at the Door," and others.
Early Bird tickets are only $10, and VIP seats are only $15, and are available online at http://www.choirs.eventbrite.com.
This church is wheelchair accessible. So bring the whole family to celebrate Christmas, and bring an educational toy for a needy child. Toys will be distributed to children that live in the projects across the street from the church a few days before Christmas. Hear some glorious singing! Get lifted!
